Just came back from 15 days in Namibia and had a fabulous time. Thanks to everyone here for all the help and advice. The 375 with 260 gr. Nosler AccuBonds was impressive. Only 2 bullets recovered from the Blue Wildebeest, and all others were double caliber pass throughs! Closest shots at 130 yards, had long shots at 310 and 360 yards and everything else in between. When I figure out the whole picture posting thing, I will get some on the forum.

Animals taken-
16 1/2" Springbok, 7" base
17" Blesbok, 7" base
51 1/2" and 54" Kudu, 12" base
37" bull Gemsbok, 8" base
24" Red Hartebeest, 12" base
12" and 13 1/4" Warthogs, 4 1/2" base
Burchell Zebra stallion
Blue Wildebeest, 57" on curve, 15" base
21 1/2" Impala, 7" base

Nice critters neighbor! Not only are we neighbors here, but where we hunted last May, Otjandaue Safaris, borders on the Erindi property.

Sounds like luck was on your side. I'll be glad when you get a chance to post some pictures. Please include a little detail on the hunting as well.

Hi SBT-I've read your posts with interest, especially when I knew where you were going.

Yeah, I was pretty lucky, but very particular too, and had a really understanding PH who wanted to hunt as hard as me. Went lots of days with nothing but video, blown stalks, and long miles walked.

Will write all my info under hunting reports.

Welcome home. Prepare yourself for Post Safari Depression. Was 300+ by choice or terrain?

Congratulations! Namibia is one fine destination isn't it? Last week this time, I was enjoying my last hours in Cape Town, waiting for the 8 pm to Atlanta. I also had fine results with the 260 accubonds. They gave fine performance, and I hope to get some pictures this weekend of the 3 recovered bullets. Where is Erindi? We passed lots of fine properties on our way to Kamanjab. I'll get some more pictures and reports from my hunt out soon. Regards, Bob

Just for reference, I believe this is their web site:

Yeah, I already miss it badly, and have talked to the oldest son about a trip back. The 2 long shots were necessitated by terrain; wide open plains on the largest warthog and a Blesbok they have been trying to get for 2 years. I was warned that a lot of Namibia is very open. I practiced for several months all the way out to 400 yards, so was confident on stationary animals with a perfect rest. I really preferred the majority of shots which were 130-220 yards. Keeping the crosshairs on the animals is always the best, with no holdover or guessing.

BF is correct; that is their website.

Sounds like real hunting. I wish my hunt elsewhere in Namibia had been so. Congratulations.

Posted this same question on my report. How to make my pictures small enough to load on to Hunt101 server? Seems my PH shot them all on highest definition and largest size (750KB to 2.00MB). I have 300 on Cd, and nobody to enjoy them but me.
