I keep hearing "case by case basis". So have there been any cases where import has been granted this year?

A mate of mine has just told me he's shagging his girlfriend and her twin. I said "How can you tell them apart?" He said "Her brother's got a moustache!"

If I understand correctly, this all results from a court decision.

No. This all cane because of the stupidity of the USFW.

They think they know better than the countries producing these elephants.

They issue CITES export license, so where is the issue?

I can answer this one, I asked this very question in a meeting with USFWS officials last week in Washington and the answer is "no". Many permit applications have been reviewed (including one submitted by me) and more are being reviewed but no permits will be issued if an application is approved. Orders from others preventing issue of permits are still in place.

I would like to hunt elephant one day before long. I also want to be able to import it. It is amazing to me, how even many hard-core hunters who understand conservation, are against hunting elephant and get the "Walt Disney emotional syndrome".

I've always wanted to hunt elephant. When I was just five years old, every time my dad pulled out his hunting rifle, he called it his elephant gun. The power that rifle held over a five year old was real, and is still with me over 40 years later (funny thing is, and I remember that rifle well, it was a Remington 700 bdl in 7mm mag, hardly an elephant gun, but to a five-year old it was a howitzer).

As some of you know, I write and publish the "Little Sportsman" children's books about hunting and shooting. One reason I would like to import an elephant is that I go to a lot of schools and events to do author presentations, talking about hunting, guns, etc. I thought of building a rolling wildlife museum of sorts with a tractor-trailer to take to these events. It would have a huge impact on the kids I meet and talk to.

I had hoped import permits might be easier to get for a museum, but after looking into it, I don't think you can even have museum status unless you are a non-profit organization, which we are, just not by choice Big Grin

Regardless, I will hunt elephant and Lion even if I can't bring them home.

Just about damn near every hunter I know says

“ I don’t know about elephants, aren’t they endangered., I don’t think they should be hunted “

And that’s when I come in, tell them what it’s like and ream their ass for being anti hunters like Californians, that usually does it
I simply don’t have patience with hunters...who are pussies literally

When I'm ready to go, pack a bag of gunpowder up my ass and strike a fire to my pecker, until I squeal like a boar.
