I was considering doing this hunt with my stick and string, but now it has become so common ... it has lost it's luster. Big Grin

(Obviously my post is a joke.)

I can imagine that these hunters are very proud of their accomplishments.

Post the pics Rich.

Can you imagine.... A Mt. Nyala on the last day.... With a bow! I think I would have exploded with emotion!!!

Congrats to the hunter. Way to go for not getting dejected and picking up a rifle as the hunt wound down. That is a dedicated Archer.

Rich, could you explain the method of hunting Mt Nyala with a bow? The way I understood the rifle hunts go is you glass down into valleys until spotting a suitable bull and then stalk into position for a shot. Seems problematic for a bow hunter.

We use portable ground blinds set up on mineral licks or narrow passes that the Mt. Nyala frequent. That's it for a while. The next Mt. Nyala bow hunter is May of 2011. We DO have a Giant orest Hog attempt on tap for April of 2009.

Wendell, No one has done it with a spear yet unless you count about 10,000 natives. Confused

Hope to have photos soon.
