I just heard second hand that George Kyriacou has passed at an early age (37-38) due to some health issues. I was sure looking forward to seeing him this winter.
RIP

Yes
He was a part of Kyriacou Safaris. His mother lives here where I live and his father lives in Botswana.

Hell of a nice guy and gone way too young.

Very sad to hear, and very young to die.

George guided me at Bokamoso this last June in Botswana. We just had an hour conversation about ten days ago. He was very instrumental on getting the elephant hunting back up and running. We were very like minded and I considered him a good friend.
From what I understand he died from a perforated ulcer. Passed on the airplane to Joberg.
He will be sorely missed.

I take it that Mark is his father? Mark, from my limited experience in talking with him, seems like a very good fellow. Some friends who hunted with him thought he was a very good PH.

Sad to read this news. Prayers for the family.

I just saw this thread and am very sad that George has died. He was a good guy.
