SunshineBattery-operated telescopes
I just don't like them - maybe I'm too old-fashioned. I would like to hear your opinions.

It's great to be conservative

I had these illuminated reticles and found it to be an excellent solution to a non-existing problem

Sold off my battery operated Zeiss and Swarovski and bought conventional ones.

jorgeNever thought about them until my PH and another friend who hunted with him suggested one for leopard. So I bought one. Before I just relied on the heavy duplex option. It was a good excuse to get one. jorge

Tex21I get nervous when someone starts talking about battery operated firearms equipment. Batteries in my experience, have a tendency to go dead when you least expect it, are counting on them the most, and the spares are in your other trousers 20 miles away.
I like mechancial scopes with good light-transmitting optics and glow in the dark sights. Though I'm sure they work great, I am personally leery of battery operated optics.
