Got an e-mail from Alister Norton yesterday. He told me he was (his words) run over by a buff. He said he was ok but was very sore. Had to dash out but would get back with me on the story. As usual I have not heard back. Alister, you listening. Report back in son. NRA LIFE MEMBER DU DIAMOND SPONSOR IN PERPETUITY DALLAS SAFARI CLUB LIFE MEMBER SCI FOUNDATION MEMBER

Ouch! Glad he is ok, or at least sort of ok. Does it surprise you that he didn't email back? He is probably out hunting. Kind of hits home when you hear this about a guy you have hunted with. Send him my best please.

If you hear from Alister, please pass along my well wishes. I hope the buff wasn't hurt too bad. "There are worse memorials to a life well-lived than a pair of elephant tusks." Robert Ruark

getting him in would not be the problem. teaching him to drive would be the trick you started it Steve I just fallowed

I guess it could be that he ran someone over simply because he couldn't drive properly..... or maybe he didn't know the rules of a zebra crossing! I actually feel sorry for Alister....... you'd think he'd be getting more sympathy rather than a pair of daft bastards just taking the piss!

I have not been daft since the divorce was final!!!! He is going to have one of two problems 1.He will not need to crap for a month since he has used up his allotment for the month already or 2 he will not be able to since the pucker factor is so high now

I had the pleasure of sharing a camp with Bwana Kalulu a couple of years ago. Even hunted with him a bit, but that wasn't a pleasure. He came along to look for a wounded buff (mine) and I thought he was going to get run over that day. We crawled up on a herd of buff as they fed toward us. Alister was at the front of the line, TVR a step behind and then me. Some cows had us pinned in some sparse grass and trees. The lead cow got to within an honest 5 yards of the log Alister was lying behind before wandering off without even noticing him. She had a calf in tow and I thought the Spring Hare was going to get stomped for sure. Probably would have if he had flinched. Real glad to hear he wasn't injured seriously. I met a guy that had gone on a buffalo hunt, first day out they were charged, I want to say his PH was clipped and he actually got hit and flipped end over end in the air before hitting the ground. fortunately the bull ran off and didn't make another pass. He was so sore all over, nothing broken, he spend a couple days laying around, but did go back out and get one. I think they make for great stories and would think they add to the pleasure of the hunt. Red

That's what happens when you like to "moon"! On a more serious note, I do hope that everything is ok with him.

Alister moon someone? No way. Say it aint so? Maybe the buff saw his horrible case of red ass and charged him.

Has anyone else ever been run over by a Buff, mauled by a cat or otherwise hurt by DG ... AND THEN endured this much abuse on AR. Alister may have just set a record.

By the way, that picture was not photoshopped in any way. That is really what his ass looks like. Probably from riding in the Cruiser all day checking baits. The abuse continues ...

I think not. Probably from hunting with you! "There are worse memorials to a life well-lived than a pair of elephant tusks." Robert Ruark
