My son and I are going on a PG hunt in Namibia with some friends in July. I am in the US Army currently stationed in Seoul, Korea. I was wondering if anyone here has an idea of if/how to ship finished mounts (gemsbok, springbok, zebra rug, ostrich hide) to South Korea. Any info, experiences, recommendations, or references appreciated. searspd@aol.com

I did business there about 10 years ago. If it is still the same, just bring lots of extra cash with you to the airport and be nice

Not knowing all the details of your situation, if you are not going to be there but a few years, it might just be better to send the salted hides back to the states, you could have them tanned and frozen by a taxidermist back there, they will keep for a very long time. Then you could have them mounted under your personal supervision. It would save you lots of $$$, and you would have more control over the mounting process.
