The debate has raged since the choices were a hand-thrust spear or an atlatl, but here I offer you the ultimate elephant stopper, even if it's an entire herd, and the damndest thing I've ever seen with a wood shoulder stock.

Needs a rear sight.

And for the ultimate 2-gun safari combo, you can bring this as your light cannon.

These for those who gun on a hunt drunk, and cannot hit the inside of a barn door.

Those of us who do hunt, only need a .375 caliber rifle, it is the minimum required by law.

Or I would happily be using a .30 caliber.

I say this after having shot literally hundreds of dangerous game animals! clap

Looks like it is a single shot. From what I've read here, a proper stopping rifle must either have two barrels and two triggers, or be a controlled round feed bolt with a suitable number of cartridges in reserve.
I also believe those might be soft bullets with conical points. Again from what I've read here over the years, solids or nonexpanding monometal with relatively flat meplats are needed.
Might be interesting slipping thru the thorn or tall grass with this a a couple cartridges in between your your fingers Capstick style. It does look like you would definitely need gunbearers and pretty serious cartridge loops, maybe an ammo bearer. You would probably need hearing protection.
It does need an RMR, cerocoat and a polymer stock.

How much should you tip the gunbearer who has to carry that stopping rifle?

OH no; did I really just post that?

I love that it’s on a wheeled gun carriage, but has a shoulder stock. I have a feeling someone could be seriously injured trying to shoot that thing.

Think I would take a CZ 550 458 Lott. 5 down and one up the spout. A lot of firepower there.

I think it must have at least limited traverse independent of the carriage.
