What is the official policy for confronting poachers in Zimbabwe? Is it fire only when fired upon or shoot first ...

Is it clearly spelled out in any regulation? Which regulation?

Any other info (or first hand experience)? Thanks.

The best thing you can do is get the hell out of there and leave it to the game scout to deal with.

I think you'll find that you have no legal right to shoot at a human being whatsoever under any circumstances.

You also need to bear in mind they'll probably have more fire power & ability to use it and also very possibly more ministerial protection than you and about & only thing worse than a Zimbabwe jail cell to end up in is a coffin........ or should that perhaps be the other way around. Wink

Very good advice Steve.

And may I suggest that anyone outside his own country remember one very important fact.

You are a GUEST in that country, behave as a guest.
