I think the management of Kruger and all of So. Africa should be left up to the people of Africa..They have done a hell of a good job so far, and that is more than I can say for most of the USA, particularly the Pacific Northwest. I am in accord with Alf and Shakari on this one. Ray Atkinson Atkinson Hunting Adventures 10 Ward Lane, Filer, Idaho, 83328 208-731-4120 rayatkinsonhunting@gmail.com

Ray, I could not agree with you more! I think that all African countries dealing with elephants should be involved though, not just SA, as it ultimately involves them all. Bringing external intervention outside Africa may bring more problems than solutions and cause more stops and stalls. I have heard of some regular tourists threatening not to come back to the park if culling goes ahead. What do you do there, you can never please all the people all of the time. I think it is important though for those involved to sit down and discuss things. I think all talk and no action is no good either, but at least by having talks, people seem to be getting the message. ALF, I appologise if I came accross as a little stern and opinionated in my last post, I think we both share the same passion and interests in wildlife and Africa in general. I am a South African too, although have my roots in Zim, and and always feel saddened at how Zim's wildlife and potential have fallen by the wayside. This reminds me that Africa has many problems to deal with, but at least the South African government seems to recognize the importance of it's wildlife, which is always good.
