Can't help you with recent experience in Chirisa. You don't mention what time of year you'll be there. I was there in May (in '93)and it was cool enough to sleep under a blanket every night. Take a small pocket camera with you (I carried a Leica Mini in my shirt pocket that took great pictures) - and you will want to take pictures while out in the field -because Chirisa has an astonishing range of scenery from mesas that look like New Mexico to pastures that look like something in New England. I envy you. I would love to see Chirisa again.
