I have a new M70 375. None of the Uncle Mike swivels will fit into the hole in the front attachment which is on the barrel.

Anyone else had this problem? Any recommendation.

Happens all the time...get out your trusty drill and bits and open up said hole.

Bullspring...does the rear swivel attach properly? I am assuming it does. Usually Uncle Mikes will recomend notching up in size for an odd rifle...problem is an M70 is not exactly an odd rifle. Have you contacted them on this?

Stevens30127,

Rear attaches properly. I am unclear about your statement "Uncle Mikes will recommend notching up a size for an odd rifle".

All of the Uncle Mikes I have found for wide slings are too large to fit the M70.

hmmmmm....One of the members at my club had some custom made jobber that had a similar barrel mounted sling. He used a smaler swivel on the rear and he told me UM suggested he use one size larger on the fore mount. The fact that you have tried gives me pause....I hate to say it...but uncle mikes may need to be contacted.

I have the exact same problem on two .375 M70's. I have my gunsmith drill out the hole. Later I found that some Uncle Mike swivels from 15 years ago fit just fine.
Go figure.
