Something I learned in my 70 years on this earth, is that religious people will tell you anything that will line their pockets.

And that applies to ALL religions! clap

I was at a camp in Botswana a couple years ago and the camp manager asked that I shoot a couple impala through the neck as there were some non hunting clients in another part of the camp that wanted halal game meat. Fine be me, shot two for them.

There you go.

Neck and head shot animals are not considered halal.

The throat must be cut while the animal is still alive.

Had a game scout who wanted halal meat.

Told him anything I shoot is halal as I say BISMILLAH ALRAHMAN ALRAHEEM before I pull the trigger!

He was happy with that clap

Interesting that the suppliers of halal venison in the UK are apparently using "arrows, traps and stunning mechanisms" all of which are very illegal to use on deer in Britain!
Apart from Muntjac, for which .22 calibre centre-fires are legal, all deer in the UK must be shot with a .243 or larger rifle.
In New Zealand it wouldn't be difficult to supply halal venison. All sheep in NZ are halal killed by having their throats slit by a Muslim after being electrically stunned. The abattoirs killing farmed deer (a big industry) just have to employ Muslim slaughtermen.
All NZ abattoirs are inspected annually by Saudi Arabian clerics to ensure correct halal proceedures.

I recall that Ruark had a discussion of this topic, I believe in "Horn of the Hunter."

In my experience, the guys aren't real picky about halal. They won't eat warthog or bushpig, though. And I don't blame them. I won't eat bushpig. Watched too many game cam photos of them scarfing up maggots under a lion or leopard bait and warthog is lousy, despite what the South Africans think.
