Robin Hurt, Tanzania Big Game Safaris, Tanzania Game Trackers have Maswa. Adam Clements has Lolkisole and Loborserte. Luke Samaras has Simanjaro Kitarnge, Tanzania Game Trackers and Tanzania Wildlife company have Lake Natron. There are certainly others, but those are the ones I would stick to depending on what you're looking for. Perhaps if you're looking for a specific company/concession you could let us know.

Rhyme of the Sheep Hunter
May fordings never be too deep, And alders not too thick; May rock slides never be too steep And ridges not too slick.
And may your bullets shoot as swell As Fred Bear's arrow's flew; And may your nose work just as well As Jack O'Connor's too.
May winds be never at your tail When stalking down the steep; May bears be never on your trail When packing out your sheep.
May the hundred pounds upon you Not make you break or trip; And may the plane in which you flew Await you at the strip.

I'm not sure, but I thought I saw in a brochure somewhere that Zuka Safaris had something there.

Doubtful. They probably just sublease as needed from Game Frontiers Tanzania or some other company with so/so concessions that subleases.

Brett,
Maybe you know who's this is then. I dug out a brochure I had been sent by them (odd as I don't recall requesting one), and they refer to a block they called Kabojo. Does that name sound like it Could be Game Frontiers or one of the other companies mentioned? Their map reflects it being up there and they refer to it as being "in the heart of the Masai Steppe". Just curious as I know very little about them but they did send a a very extensive 80 page brochure with lots of references. I should mention that this brochure I recieved was the "2007 Annual Review", so I assume I recieved prior to the 2008 season.

No idea. It maybe southeast of Samaras or Clements. Did they show where it was? I'm guessing East of Tarangire.

The map was very rudimentary and I know next to nothing about what is where in Tanzania. I would be curious to know more, but I don't think I'm very good help on this one. Surely like you have said though it is a sublet deal.

Kabojo indeed belongs to Zuka who bought out Masailand Hunting Company (Federico Gellini).
The concession is located in the southern part of Masailand and a long way from Tarangire.

Justin: You can go to TGT's website and they have a map of their areas and maybe some others. This is from memory but Danny McCollum has Lukwati and Chunya which is close to Lake Rukwa, George and Mike Angelides had an area just accross the Rungwa from McCollum, north of Lake Rukwa, TGT and some other company has the Moyowosi, on the Rungwa you have Miombo Safaris, Jack Britingham's company, and Harpreet Brar. TGT has Ugalla east and west. TGT has Natron and I think Britingham's company has a Natron area. I know that Samaras has a Masai Steppe concession and some area in the Selous as does Miombo Safaris. As stated Adam Clements has the wonderful Lokosale area. I am not very familiar with the Selous but I believe that Zuku Safaris has a southern area and also hunts the open area south of the park. Someone on TV has the Kilombero and is hunting it. Somewhere someone has posted the hunting areas of not only Tanz but most of the hunting countries. I've hunted Natron,Rukwa(Lukwati), Kisigo, Moyowosi, Ugalla and Maswa. If you have specific questions just ask. MMP

Harpreet also hunts K1 and K2 in the Selous. There is a map on Luke Samaras web site that outlines all of the blocks in the Selous.

TBGS bought them and that's all a part of them now. Here's a map from AR with some of the blocks.

Brett - Just for proper information map #6 is incorrect and do not know who did the marking of the areas, but it shows Raoul bordering Tarangire and none of his areas in masailand come even close to bordering tarangire. I am sure he would like to claim all of that area, but actually half of that highlighted in red by Tarangire is actually Loirbor Serrit not Raouls area. Who ever did that map obviously does not know much about the proper allocated areas and could be mis-leading. The closest Raoul gets to Tarangire would be at least 10 miles in the far north.

Absolutely Adam. Good catch. Does anyone hunt Kondoa or Mkungunero south of Tarangire?
