I have used D and L Custom Brokers Dr getting my trophies home. I have been very happy with their work.

The other Firm I know that does a lot of hunting businesses is Coppersmith Global. I have not used them.

How else is there? Or has anyone used anyone else?

Is here any reputable firms who handle hunting business in Tennessee? I know Memphis is a designated port of entry.

Let us make a list of Firms we have used. It may give folks some shopping options.

Coppersmith in Seattle was fine for my buffalo which arrived in Alaska today. First time I have used a broker. I had to here as Delta would not fly my buffalo so it had to come to Seattle on SAA. I was told it could not be sent in bond to Alaska for me to clear so Coppersmith did it and put it on a barge. All went smooth but the process added $1000 to my expenditures.

I’ve never done it myself, but many clear trophies themselves. Of course, it depends on the animals you intend to clear.

Another vote for D&L. I have used them three times and have been very happy. Never used anyone else so I cannot compare.

D&L without a question. Have seen them work some magic to get some problem shipments fixed that were botched by the outfitter or safari company. Lisa and Laura are held in high regard by USF&WS and many are not. And trust me, that reputation helps when things get tough.

I have cleared my own trophies - plains game with no swine or CITES requirements. It's not difficult but it can be time consuming. I found it was cheaper to engage D&L than it was to burn time I could be earning $$$$

I’ve used D & L probably 5-6 times. Also had them handle a dozen other shipments for hunters. They were great! Never had any issues!

Flora & Fauna 4 different times. No problems, and they kept me in the loop on progress. Handled a leopard for me that went so smoothly & quickly I was pleasantly shocked.
Not cheap, but you know what they say....

coppersmith best 400 to 450 you can spend to ease the pain of getting things cleared.

Don't spend the 1000 some like to charge because they will send a few emails that don't need to be sent if you pick the right taxidermist to start with.

I use SSI. For me it's worth the extra money. The only time I've had any issues it was when I cheaped out. YMMV
