I just received an email from a company that offered me a ten day, elephant cull hunt of up to 5 elephants for $6,100 all in,(excluding airfare and gratuities). I recognize that is way below the daily rate alone for DG hunts so is this a too good to be true, hunt? This offer was from Powers Internationale (Thomas Powers Jr). Has anyone ever dealt with him? Likely a scam. Zim Parks Dept. has said no clients on culls (if they ever do a cull) because in the 1980's some citizen hunters got squashed on culls. If it's just a hunt for 5 tuskless cows, the price is $25-30K too low. | |||

There are cull hunts going on. There has been some paperwork issued by parks asking LPH's etc to assist. If you want to- go for it- Just make sure you recieve a certified copy of the Parks TR2 form - with your name on it - That will prove that parks authorised the hunt and will at least mean that you can ward off any subsiquent attacks on you as and when this all collapses in a heap. | |||
