L. David Keith56 inch Cape Kudu taken in the Eastern Cape
One of our youngest PH's guided his hunter to an amazing trophy of a lifetime the other day. We've been fortunate to tag 4 bulls breaking the 50" mark this season but this bull is over the top. Congrats to Jason and all the guys at Huntershill!

Every morning the Zebra wakes up knowing it must outrun the fastest Lion if it wants to stay alive. Every morning the Lion wakes up knowing it must outrun the slowest Zebra or it will starve. It makes no difference if you are a Zebra or a Lion; when the Sun comes up in Africa, you must wake up running......

JTEXNot to take anything away from this magnificent trophy and it is magnificent!
But with all the game breeding going on in SA today and the moving around of animals isn't it to be expected that there are some Southern Greater kudu moved around from the limpopo?

Bill/OregonJust a gorgeous bull. Those are some of the prettiest horns I have seen anywhere.

FjoldThat's a great bull, classic shape and the tips turned fully out.
Vic Watson (Karoo Wild Safaris) had a 56+ incher taken off his East Cape place back in April also but it was an unusual shape. Those East Cape bulls are starting to get up to Greater Kudu size.

L. David KeithJTEX, no doubt that will come of age in due time. I've thought for a long time if you did a dna on the Bontebok, probably half or more in the top 20 would have Blesbok dna in them. I've take 3 Cape Kudu and the best I have to date is a 48.5" bull. Have taken two mature bulls that both went 45 inches. Maybe next one will break 50

bwanamrmSerious EC kudu, that one!
On the plains of hesitation lie the bleached bones of ten thousand, who on the dawn of victory lay down their weary heads resting, and there resting, died.
