Painting of a Dhow

In the New Arusha Hotel, before it was remodeled, there was an old black and white photo of a dhow on the Indian Ocean at full sail. I'd like to commission someone to paint that picture, not in black and white obviously. I have a photo of the picture from the lobby of the hotel. Have a spot that would be perfect for a much larger version of it in a new house. I know a number of great wildlife artists, but don't know anyone whose proven on nautical themes. Any suggestions?

Any photo you wish to attach must be available on a web server.

Then all you do is link it.

I see Andrew’s talent everyday from the (maybe failed) Stu Taylor/Tim Herald fundraiser. Not only is he a top notch PH, but he’s a professional with a paint brush and camera.

I meant to be DSC Member...bad typing skills.

Andrew’s lion is a fantastic piece of fine art. I hope he won’t blush when I say that he is a first rate artist.

Andrew,

Sent you an email. Couldn't figure out how to do right, but I've been going to Africa for too long not to learn that there's a right way to do it, and a way that will work just good enough. So I took a screenshot of my laptop with my phone and emailed it to you. Sorry for the quality, but in my defense, the old black and white photo wasn't great to start with.

Thanks for taking a look and look forward to hearing your thoughts.

Andrews lion print is hanging in my bedroom.
It faces me while sitting in my recliner.
Money well spent in my opinion.

Below, Andrew, some dhow photos, sailing vessels, a small model and an old illustration. Do any of these work, Lavaca?

Regards, Tim
