Guiding an oldish gentleman last week ending in shooting 7 good trophies we started with some unique trophies horn wise but have a look yourself. First up a very old duiker I told the client you shot the oldest duiker in Limpopo and a returned with a laugh and said an old animal for an old man Second it was not the biggest or the oldest waterbuck bull but being that he thought that he was shooting odd animals he couldnt resist in shooting this very wide waterbuck imaging this one if he had time to grow another 2 years. Then it was this old warrior and a warrior it was as I needed to stop him with a backup shot from getting away again. Look at that broken horn if both was broken I would have ended up with a wildebeest scrub cap bull Frederik Cocquyt I always try to use enough gun but then sometimes a brainshot works just as good.

It's always interesting to see what turns someone's crank. These are trophies with character. I'm guessing he was a veteran safari hunter and this was not his first? _______________________________

Yukon Delta is correct, they ARE unusual! It is amaseing what some people call trophies, and there is no reasoning for some. Some NEED the book, some don't, some need size, some don't. Personally, I couldn't care less if the book was burned today, and the largest is not what makes an animal a trophy to me, it is the cercumstances of the hunt, that makes my animal a trophy. However, the animals pictured here are CULLS that should be taken out of a PH's concession, and made into biltong, or used for leopard, or lion baits, at very reduced bait fees, and not considered for the concession's trophy quota. Who knows? Some men like fat women, and some like death camp bones, but like my trophies, I like middle of the road, average specimans! ....Mac >>>===(x)===> MacD37, ...and DUGABOY1 DRSS Charter member "If I die today, I've had a life well spent, for I've been to see the Elephant, and smelled the smoke of Africa!"~ME 1982 Hands of Old Elmer Keith

Actually it was his second trip to african hunting. His first was last year in Namibia and he was boasting all the way about the unique trophies he bagged. Whatever makes a client happy. Frederik Cocquyt I always try to use enough gun but then sometimes a brainshot works just as good.
