Wow, isn't that just great. We now know that elephants can run! This will make me make a hasteier reteat next time I am in front of one heading my way. If it were not for science where would we be?

Top speed of 15mph? I, too, have been in vehicles chased by elephants at higher speeds than 15mph.

Also, when you consider that a fit human can sprint faster than 15mph, how come elephants have caught so many, over the years, and turned them into strawberry jam?

Where would we be without such scientists?

This elephant was going 200 m.p.h.... or so it seemed!
