Taz,
I think you might be trying to split hairs on this one. They are both good projectiles and will get the job done and more.

Which ever one your rifle likes better, is the one that I will go for. Develop some loads for both and get onto the range if possible.

Take Care,
Marius Goosen

Both will work just fine.

But, I would prefer a bullet with no lead, especially if one is using a high velocity cartridge.

Totally agree on the "no lead" statement.

I would go with the A-Frame. I have had 95%+ weight retention and 2x+ expansion on all recovered bullets.

Taz,

Whichever bullet shoots best in your rifle. Having used both I think you'll get nearly identical performance.

Shot placement trumps bullet construction. Any premium bullet (or C&C) will work. Just use whatever is accurate in your rifle and practice a lot off the sticks.
And don't forget to have fun! tu2

No experience with northfork.
We used Swift A-Frame bullets on our trip. All but one were one shot kills at 135 to 480 yards. The one was my fault with a too high shot with a 338win mag.
We used 120gr bullets in a 257Roberts and 225gr in a 338win mag.

In the 260 the Barnes TTSX or the Swift A-Frame would work well. If you use the TTSX push them fast as the barnes bullets expand better the faster they are pushed. I would NOT use the TSX as they do not expand as well(especially smaller calibers) and sometimes when the bullet strikes bone at an angle it will close up and not expand.

I would use 120gr Swift A-Frame bullets in the 260Rem myself

Here is a 294 page (and counting) post that goes into details of "terminal bullet performance".

One problem with no lead is the increase in total length of the projectile which can be a problem with some rounds.
