Cabela's Instinct Trailer

There will be a lot of Africa including Niassa Mozambique (buff, etc), Caprivi (elephant & hippo) and Burkina Faso (buff and roan)in the first season. Other cool locations are Mongolia (high Altai argali & ibex), Pakistan (markhor, ibex, etc.), and Alaska (moose and brown bear).

This is not a bang bang hunting show. It is more about the journey and location. I hope you enjoy.

official description:
SERIES OVERVIEW
Not all those who wander are lost. Nomadic people sometimes lose themselves on purpose, constantly moving in search of something bigger, something better. The words written decades ago still hold true today. Maybe even more so than ever. Cabela's Instinct: Expedition Series is a prime example of this famous J.R.R. Tolkien line. We’re all on a hunt for something in our lives. For Mark Petersen and Tim Herald, that hunt is for adventure, a deeper understanding of all things living, and a stronger connection to the people who make so many places across the world special.
The goal of Cabela's Instinct: Expedition Series is to take the viewer beyond the trophy of a hunt, sharing the people and the culture that encompass the experience of traveling to unique destinations. Both hunters, Mark Petersen & Tim Herald, have the heart of a Nomad – aching to experience the world through the path less traveled. The unique places Mark and Tim visit, each have their own pulse, their own cultures, their own distinct personalities. The locations are key characters in the show, helping to spark thought in the minds of the viewers, much like they have in the minds of Mark and Tim.
Each hunt has its own unique storyline, that the hunters will be digging to find during their travels. But given the nature of travel, the deeper connections and stories often find the hunters organically. Instinct is a continuous story of two hunters across the world chasing animals on mountains and across open plains, exploring some of the most amazing places on earth. The story will bounce from Mark to Tim throughout each episode.
PRODUCTION STYLE
Cabela's Instinct: Expedition Series ignores the mold that has become the go-to style for many of today’s hunting shows. Instinct is a part documentary, part reality, part travel-oriented series. The goal of each episode is to tell a compelling story that will let the viewer in on the visual emotions of the host in perspective to embracing the culture, travel obstacles, weather and everything else in between. This show is being shot differently than your traditional hunting show, relying less on the hunter telling the story on camera and more on the visuals as the trip and hunt unfolds.
Viewers will have plenty of opportunities to get to know Mark and Tim intimately. Instinct will contain a proven mix of conversations between hunter and guide, hunter and locals, journals, and on-the-flies. These conversations are organic, not staged, giving Instinct an unscripted, raw and real feel.
Again, the natural elements and landscapes take center stage. Wide, sweeping shots establish the locations and act as effective transitions between one hunt and the next. Travel sequences are relied on heavily, giving the viewer a real sense of what it took Mark and Tim to get to their respective locations across the globe. This includes footage from the flights with audio of the conversations between hunter and pilot. It’s up close and personal with tight shots of the hunters setting up basecamp, their gear, shooting weapons and any other implements that help Mark and Tim achieve success in the field.

Good Hunting,

Tim Herald

Looking forward to it Tim!

On the plains of hesitation lie the bleached bones of ten thousand, who on the dawn of victory lay down their weary heads resting, and there resting, died.

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch...
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!
- Rudyard Kipling

Life grows grim without senseless indulgence.

Really like the narration of the trailer.
