Can anyone help me here? I've been trying to subscribe to African Hunter Magazine (and any others along it's line) but have come up short. I called the 800 number advertised and tried to email the subscription people but have not come up with anything. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Send an email to the above address. You will get what you want. But keep in mind, it may take a few days...after all it is Africa.
Best of luck to you,
Brian

The last I talked to Don Heath, there were a lot of problems with the US side of things as well. The email address above is the best way to reach them.

With this topic title, Don or Ganyana should be along later to comment.

What is the last issue you received?

Was the last issue's theme lions or leopards? I can't recall and I'm 4000 miles from home.

I gave up on them several years ago. I had extreme problems with delivery and the customer service was worse than poor. The frustration was not worth the product.

The way we are going the magazine is going to be an all out AR affair one of these days with all you guys writing, and we advertising!

I enjoyed that hunting report of yours a lot, and loved the duck tape "quick fix" on the Buff. Thumbs up to your lovely wife.I made a mental not on that one!

The South African postal service seems to have found an old sailing boat to carry the mail to the USA it would seem. Used to go by ox waggon from here to the coast and we hoped we had beeten that problem (and for a couple of years we had) by printing in South Africa, but...Africa always wins!!! We will have to make another plan.

NB- Even email is erratic. Please put a read reciept on any mail to us- fishunt@zol.co.zw

NB2 - Mail sent from to us is increadibly slow. January mail from the UK is only just starting to arrive, and even mail from within Africa is taking 2 months if sent "air mail" or 3 months surface.

All well on this side of the pond - until an official respond is made try also:

AFRICA - Zimbabwe - Telephone (+263-4) 572786 or 572787. Fax (+263-4) 576706
South Africa - Telephone/Fax (+27-11) 396 2729
E-Mail - adhunt@mweb.co.za

P.S. Yes the last is a wildebeest issue...with editor in snow Big Grin.

Thanks Charl. I can't wait to get back to Africa so I can write another!

I haven't seen the latest issue. Glad to hear about Lee's article and I look forward to seeing it when I get home. Who else from AR wrote articles in it?

We have had some problems with email with zim, however, I never know if it our lousy system or theirs. Once we had a reply from African Hunter mag
the same day I received a notice that the mail was undeliverable! What happened? Who knows! We feel that the mag is well worth any minor problems and enjoy visiting with them when we are in country.

For some reason, the last three or four months all the emails I have sent to Zim bounce back as undeliverable. But they are getting them. That is why you should attach a read receipt request along with it, that way you know someone on their end opened it, but even then, you will get the bounce back that it was undeliverable. As I said before, it is Africa.
Patience is a virtue.
Best of luck,
Brian

How do you attach a "read receipt" to an e-mail? My e-mail account is through Yahoo.com. I have a lot of trouble getting e-mails to go through to Namibia.
