Exactly ^^^

Including many hunters/shooters here on this forum.

Lane

Apart from on the Political Forum is there really many. I don't think there is any on Big Bores.

Well...maybe “many” is hyperbolic.

That said...I can think of 4 American regular posters here on Africa Hunting...that are Trump bashers.

Why does one have to support Trump if he is a hunter?

Trophy hunting has been under attack from every government.

Did Trump not call hunting a horror show??

Trump not going to touch guns...Biden-Harris will try for some gun control legislation.

Don Jr. is a hunter...unlikely to let father enact any anti-hunting legislation. Face it...99% of Democrats are anti Africa hunting and 45% of Republicans as well. Likely 75% of Democrats are against local deer hunting and 25% of Republicans as well.

Hunters have a bit of power with Republicans zero with Democrats.

Likely 99% of Democrats are against the public having semiautomatic rifles, pistols, and shotguns...less than 10% Republicans are.

It is pretty simple...if you hunt or shoot...keep Republicans in charge of as many branches as you can.

Exactly Doc! Well stated!

.

I would rather try to marshal troops to push a republican left than try to pull a liberal right. If anyone has been paying attention, the world is moving more left - that needs to be slowed down - and it wont be by electing socialist-lites...

Let's get real. This country is hopelessly divided. A war was fought that decided that states could not secede. But no one has ever fought a war over what states can be kicked out.

Over the next four years we will witness the rapid increase in the demise of the Blue States. As they continue to tax, regulate, and threaten their tax base out of their States, all that will remain are the problems. We will become a pluralistic country - the nutjobs vs Americans.

That being decided by force does not make it constitutional and it can be changed by force. Legal scholars of the time wrote that states had the right to secede.

Just my opinion, but any hunter or gun owner who voted for Biden deserves what he/she got, a career politician without a brain. Mad

Gonna be some sweet deals on double rifles after the incoming administration bans the importation of African trophies.

If I recall correctly, didn't the Obama administration ban the importation of lion and elephant?

Also, does anyone remember the infamous AES Internal Transaction Number (ITN)?

Please carry on gentlemen. coffee

I wonder Cajun if your friend would like to go sheep hunting someday or mule deer hunting?

All an elephant is is a aging pig ( hide, big nose, and tusk with an insatiable appetite). How they became everyone’s teddy bear is beyond me.

Regarding trophy imports, please remember...
The President has a name for the countries from which the African trophies come. The name is "S"hole.
The President has not benefited imports or exports for he is a America First nationalist. Imports should pay a fee by his logic, like soybeans.
The President has placed tariffs on many goods to cause them to be too expensive to limit business in the foreign country. Trophy imports is not on his list of free trade items.
The President has placed taking heads with television experience in front of sound business logic. Look at the drug user Mr. Kudlow who could not hold a job on Wall Street, who agrees with the tariff and trade restrictions.
The new President has made selections for his economic team that are Pro-trade.
The new President might listen to his advisors and facilitate international trade and imports. African trophies from "S"hole countries included.
The new President has a proven respect of the second amendment.

And at night, I recite..
If you know the children’s book Good Night Moon...

“Good night loon, Good night goon, Good night nastiest man in the room.
Good night lies, Good night spies, Good night rants and alibis.
Good night twitter, Good night tweets. Good night all those crazy bleats.
Good night red hats, Good night cruel chants, Good night sniveling sycophants
Good night wall, Good night cages, Good night endless midnight rages.
Good night fine people on both sides, Good night losers, good night suckers, Good night evil nasty fuckers.
Good night Ivanka Good night Jared, Good night Baron, we hardly knew ya.
Good night thief, Good night grief, Good night cruel and callous chief.
Good night fake news, And Fox and friends, This is how the nightmare ends.
Good night at last. It’s time to go, The American people told you so.”

Todd, you beat me to it. This guy is nucking futs if he believes what he wrote. Harris is very anti-gun and this whack job forgets which administration made import of lions & elephants nearly impossible. The administration that Biden was part of. Basically, we’re probably screwed.

When Kamala Harris was the AG in California, she certified a law previously passed that required all new models of semi-automatic handguns sold in California to have "microstamping" features, even though the technology does not exist. What should have been a slam dunk rebuke to her by the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals did not happen. The Court held that the fact that compliance was impossible was not sufficient reason to strike down the law or her certification of it! With Biden so obviously mentally compromised, it seems inevitable that Harris will soon be President. ANYONE who thinks that Biden or Harris will respect, or has respected the 2nd Amendment should be 5150d!

It amazes me how anyone can think biden/harris anything will be better than trump?

Biden/Harris HATE THE USA! They hate freedom. Their goal and all those that follow them is to destroy the USA.

Trump has his issues and says some crazy things, but he does love the USA and the fact that it is a form of a republic and NOT a democracy. To anyone that hunts, owns guns, loves to shoot does not see Biden/Harris as dangerous, you are an idiot and have no clue.

While it is true that worldwide we have lost a lot in the way of wildlife, the fault lies not with hunting, but with the loss of habitat. We need to stop turning productive farmland into housing developments and shopping malls and quit looking at forests as things to be cleared out of our way.

Dog Cat,
Spot on .
Biden is a 47 year career politician. With little or nothing to show for it.
Biden/OBama/ have relied on us (the tax payers)their entire lives to survive . They have never run a business large or small, had to make payrolls, had to provide private health insurance, deal with banks and lending institutions. The Great Depression of 2006 had the slowest economic recovery in the history of the US under the Biden/Obama regime. Where was the economic stimulus then under Biden??
Maybe a small ray of hope is with the young 20-30 year olds. They are buying guns and eating wild game meat. When I see them at the range I will occasionally chat it up with them. I have enjoyed many of them.Hopefully there is enough of them to carry on the tradition.

There's gonna be hell to pay for all of us
with this new crew.
Just kick back and watch the shit they're gonna pull.

Most of us like the idea of getting the CV checks.
But: have you noticed it's the Dems that have pushed
for the largest amounts all along?

What's that going to do to the USA's budget
deficit? Another way to destroy the USA quicker.
Just one of the many things that's coming.
Trump fought them all he could to keep these checks within reason.
Lot's of folks and companies do need the funding
this provides to hang on til this cv shit is over.

Just keep in mind:
It's all gotta be paid back.
And that's with MORE TAXES! Just watch.

This isn't just about us hunters and gun lovers.
It's about destroying the United States.

Scruffy,
The name calling by the left started in 2000. The right just took it. The name calling by the left worsened in 2008. The right just took it. In 2016, the name calling by the left became deafening but the right learned to fight back. Maybe the fight now seems worse as both sides participate...but like every fight I have participated in—in my life...if you didn’t defend yourself you got your @$$ handed to you.

I certainly hope that things don’t tone down as that will mean the right just capitulated—selling all of us hunters and shooters down the drain for eternity.

Perhaps he will be a surprise, but given 47 years of his political history, I sincerely doubt it. One thing that got much better during Trump's first three years was our economy. It took a pandemic to put the brakes on it, and that was on the heads of the chinese no matter how much some tried to blame Trump for it. Any hunter or gun owner who thinks this administration will be better for us, and/or voted for Biden/Harris, lacks common sense.

Most of my money I spent on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted

While I agree with the general tone of this thread, maybe it’s more political than African.

I’m prepared to be pleasantly surprised given Biden has said that science will be respected.

I expect it will be a “s” show despite that statement.
