Answer, two weeks ago. I attended the DRSS shoot in Brady earlier this month and had a great time in the mini 'shooting schools' Saturday and Sunday. Eduard Katzke from SA ran the shoot Saturday at the 4K Ranch, and Monte Kalogeras hosted us in Mason Texas at his great new Safari Shooting School, equipped with standing bench rest, chrony, charging buffalo target, and a variety of field targets in the Hill Country brush.

During the Sunday shoot, Katte announced that he was donating a hunt to the DRSS participants for a hunter and observer to his ranch near Kimberly. He asked Monty to pick a name out of the hat, and mine was it! Well, I really owe Monty now, as he also did the deal with me purchasing my Hollis double when he worked for Cabelas.

Well here's Katte's door prize:

Well, I'm still almost speechless in disbelief. As if being part of the DRSS hasn't been enough!

I do have to let everybody know that this is a one time thing, so don't plan to buy a double and attend an event just to win the next prize. Bob

Congratulations Bob, and by the way that was some good shooting on the Buffalo targets! Still I think you should get rid of that junk 450/400, so just send it to me, and I'll cut it up for you with my cutting torch. However, it will be quite a while before I have any gas for the torch!

Don't you "hate it when that happens?"

After winning almost everything at the SCI fundraiser this year, I was already a suspect by my fellow members, when Kyler Hamann came to speak at our meeting last month. As Kylers host, I was asked to introduce him, and he sat at my table during dinner.

After the event, we had a drawing for the door prize, and kyler drew the winner. He said, "Gosh., I hope I don't draw Mark, or they'll lynch me."

You got it. He drew me. Not as nice as YOUR prize though...congratulations!
