Hi,
I did read somewhere (Africa Geographic?) that he'd had some problems in Botswana, so maybe he's gone to Mozambique..... I'm sure that if you e mail PHASA on phasa@pixie.co.za they will be able to put you in touch with him.

Johann Calitz is still hunting Botswana and that so called trouble was nothing more than business as usual in Africa....One of his PH's made a little mistake, more like an oversight, and it was promply taken care of with the powers that be...

Johann was completely booked for several years in Botswana, was turning down clients because he needed more concessions for Lion, Leopard etc., so he bought another concession in Mozambique, that is quite good...

weeks. Have any of you been on his hunts before?
What's it like? I will hunt leopard and plainsgame. My partner will hunt buffalo.

You are in the best of hands, and will enjoy the hunt of a lifetime...you did not say if you are going to Mozambique or Botswana and many parts of those countries are simulair...I suspect you will be hunting in high grass, Savanna, and bush, shots will be relitivly close with a max of 200 yds. and that is unlikly...it is a beatiful country...

Not exactly...but it must be pretty good are he wouldn't have bought into it...

If I had to guess I'd say somewhere around Tete as it was Lions he seemed to need and that would be close to Botswana, but I don't know that.
