Hey all, I was wondering if anyone knew what powder Nosler uses in their 375H&H Trophy Grade ammo? (Found here: http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/product/59585) It groups great; .50 at 100 yards for me. The strange thing is I'm only getting 2500fps. Other than these factory loads, I've tried Varget and 270 grain TSX and they're slower than they ought to be as well.

In a .375 that velocity is about average for a 300 gr. bullet, therefore I agree that it's a bit slow for the ammo you purchased if it's truly a 260 gr. bullet. I'm shooting 260 gr. Nosler Accubonds on top of RL15 with my .375 at an average velocity of 2726 fps (24" barrel) and I'm not a speed freak. If they're accurate in your rifle, which it sounds like they are I'd go for it. One would have to pull a bullet and make an educated guess as to which powder they're sitting on top of.

I might also add that I consistently find advertised velocities are almost always higher than what I get when I run these factory rounds across my Oehler chronograph. However, having said that there are lots of things that can influence velocities so that's only a starting point.

Thanks for the reply . I'm not really a speed freak either; just wanting to get 2700 or 2800. I know it's hard to get advertised speed, but I'm starting to wonder if the Chrony is accurate. It's reading about the same 200fps slower than expected in a .375 Ruger as well.
