America is not alone in demanding African countries run their affairs to suit the West!

I am thinking if I would like to do an elephant hunt, is that I do a tusk-less or non-trophy adventure.

the way the current approval rate is going, if I were able to take a elephant I probably would not be around to see the tusk.

I am sure that is what is behind the snail pace approval rate for approval for elephant imports. what are they 7 or 8 years behind in their approval process. The USF&WD look for anything to deny the application process.

Now if the USA government was as good at stopping illegal drugs entering the country as elephant import, that would be a marvel to behold.

African hunting cartels aren’t paying bribes to American politicians, in every level of government! clap

That's because our American politicians are high-class, they can't be bought off in Biltong. Big Grin

USFW is currently working through the back log of Elephant permits. Namibia and Zimbabwe had the greatest amount of pending permits, and per my conversation with the USFW Permit Office, they hope to be trough the backlog of Namibia/Zimbabwe by mid-summer. Backlogged Permit Applications from other countries should be ideally addressed by end of 2023.

Once a permit is issued by USFW, the import process follows the standard procedure. Safari Specialty Importers has overseen 10 elephant imports to date, and we have many more that are pending. Contact us if you have any questions. We ensure that USFW has all the information they need to process the permits as quickly as they are able.

Do a non exportable bull hunt in the Caprivi and hire a cameraman… Then no worrying about dying of old age waiting for your tusk and you’ve saved many thousands of dollars. tu2
