MARK H. YOUNGThe eland was done by my friends at Atcheson Taxidermy specifically by Tom Hardesty JR. I have a house full of their stuff and am very proud of the work they did.

Mark

Mark in SCHere are many more photos that I took at the Convention to post on our SCI Chapter website.
http://www.scilowcountry.org/2005_sci_convention.htmI have done this for several years now to show our Members what they are missing if they don't go to the Convention and help me panhandle for Donations to the Chapter!

A local taxidermist here is finishing up a full body elephant mount and he charges about $100,000. Based on the sign in front of the mount, I assume it is a reproduction. I wonder what, if any, the cost difference is for a reproduction.
BTW, Wendell, thanks for sharing the pics.

Kyler HamannWow, Rusty that really looks life-like! The hat being a little crooked and the pen in the pocket just adds to the effect.

Having heard first hand of Tony's Gorrilla slaying experience, I understand the look in the Gorrilla's eyes!

30ott6Which one is Tony? They all look alike to me.

Wendell ReichIs that a Jerry Huffaker mount? Look at how realistic the one on the left looks.
Personally, I prefer the natural mount, but in this case I believe it is best that they clothed the one on the left. looks like a lot of the hair may have slipped in the tanning process.

RustyIt was the flash Wendell. He's much better tanned than that!
As with all of Jerry's mounts I think he did a heck of a nice job.
Frnak, you are as usual are right. The only thing mission is the .458 rifle!

The only substitute for the rifle would be a glass of good single malt Scotch!

Dago Reddoes anybody have one of the croc coming out of the water and grabbing that plainsgame (don't know which one, sorry) by the leg? one jumping over the top of him?
There was also the most beautiful bear imaginable there, blonde in the fur.

That croc is unbelievable...frightening. Did anybody happen to take a photo of the bighorn ram shoulder mount in the rocks by Nature's Design at the Silver Legacy?
