I was surprised yesterday to get an Express mail package from Boddington-Danclef, with a couple DVD's and a note asking me to please bring them to Zim with me to give to Mike Payne.

Since I will be loaded down with tooth brushes, toothpaste, floss and all kinds of dental supplies to donate while I'm there, I wanted to make sure the DVD's were good, so as not to waste any space carrying defective materials. lol

Was I ever delighted to see all my old buddies from the Big Five Camp, and of course Mike Payne. It appears I have gotten hold of an early release of the Buffalo Charge that was talked about here on AR earlier this spring in which Mike got the buff charge at close range! The video is great, and everything is fantastic, right up to the point where the buff comes out of the grass and then all hell breaks loose. Unfortunately, everybody including the camera man is trying to run for cover, but there is enough to see Mike standing his ground with his double before everything turns to dust and dirt, and cuts back to Mike dusting himself off.

I'm just dripping in safari anxiety over my upcoming trip, and although I'll be hunting with Gibbo instead of Mike, I will be spending time with he and his family, and driving to Harare from the valley with him after my hunt.

Since the material is copyrighted and under the circumstances it would be very unethical to make copies, but you'll definately want to keep your eye out for this episode of Tracks Across Africa when it finally airs.
