The Rambouillet Hunting show opened today so I took a few pictures.

Rifle on the top is a Holland & Holland in .375 H&H. Second from the top is a Rigby in 30.06, but the scope is shot.

A little closer look at the Rigby. If someone could figure out a way to get another scope in that mount it might be a very nice rifle.

The man in the middle of the next picture is Patrick Brunet, the former technical director of Holland & Holland Paris (before it closed). I asked him to look a the first rifle above and give me an idea of it's condition. He said the price was correct if it shoots straight.

Pierré and Pascale were there of course.

Eric Briano had a stand as well, selling his wares rather than finishing my Brno.

But I have saved the best for last. How often in your life have you met true identical triplets, that also happen to be young blond french women?

They were helping mom tend to one of the booths but so many people wanted their picture that they stopped what they were doing and posed.

All photos with a Nikon D300s that I found on ebay for 335 Euros.

Ex-PH Franck Maes had a booth, showing his recent move into a different colorful style.

Not all politicians avoid showing up at a safari oriented show. This is Valerie Pecresse talking to the Verney-Carron custom shop crew.

Thanks for taking the time to post these Wink. Always wonderful to see our passion so nicely represented in Europe.

I keep thinking about those two rifles at the top, both priced at 6,900 Euros each.

Thanks for posting this.
I speak no French, but I gather from the tag that the first rifle, the .375 was owned or used by Osa Johnson? That's really cool.

I was yesterday at the Rambouillet Hunting show which is now in the city of Mantes-la-Jolie, a good hunting show as usual. I arrived at midday and I saw something like 10 antis on the bridge with pictures of dead animals and a big streamers where it was written " Hunters = psychopaths".
I've heard there were about 30 bunny huggers in the middle of afternoon. Before this show they said they would be 150 demonstrators and some would come from England.... When I left it was 6:30 Pm and they were gone.
I've booked my next hunting trip and of course I've seen this big double on Verney Carron's booth. It is not finished of course and the price announced is extremely expensive.....

No the rifle wasn't owned by anyone of any note. The mention is a just somebody's idea of a marketing approach.
