most of the trophy fees as well as the daily rate are VERY high for Namibia- i would certainly shop this website more for outfitters who are reputable and a lot cheaper Vote Trump- Putin’s best friend… To quote a former AND CURRENT Trumpiteer - DUMP TRUMP

Total cost for the leopard hunt will be just over $10.000. Flights, dayrates, trophy fees included. I think that is a fair price... -IF the hunt is good. Please give me any information regarding other destinations for a leopard. Other outfitters offer 14 days leopard. But the price is higher. About $ 10.000 only in dayrates. Plus trophy fee ( $3000-3500) and flights.

If that is a total cost, including the use of the dogs with a handler, then the $10,000 US is a good price. If I were going to hunt leopard with dogs I would use Tristan Peacock in Zimbabwe .... he can take you on his own or he sometimes work for another PH on just the leopard part of the hunt. He's been doing it for some time and has a great pack of dogs that were trained originally by Wade Lemon who hunts mt lion and bear with dogs in the SW US. DB Bill aka Bill George

Born To Hunt Safaries, Tobie Cilliers, is superb. I hunted with them this July in Namibia. An exciting, outstanding hunt. I think their site is www.borntohunt.com.

I was told that Tristan Peacock has had some personal problems and had to sell off most of his dogs. This coincided with a fall in the number of leopards hunted with dogs in Zimb and the appearance of leopard dog hunts in places like Namibia.

If you want a good Leopard /Dog hunt in Zim try Theo Bronkhorst of Bushman Safaris in Bulawayo. He has been in the business as long as they have had hound hunting in Zim. Some of his dogs also come from Wade Lemon in Utah as do Tristans. Also some So. African blood also. Theo,Tristan and Nico Lourens of So. Africa were the primary dog operators for hunts in Zim for some time. Theo has a good Leopard area in the Turk Mine area and also has an area in the Matetsi for other dangerous and plains game. He is an honest operator and quite successful on Leopard. His camps are well run and his rates are competative. He usually has a good quota on Leopard but they go fast. He can be reached at bushman_zim@yahoo.com. SCI Life Member NRA Patron Life Member DRSS
