Terry, I have been using GPA bullets for some time in 30.06, .300WM, 9,3x62 and .375HH. Have taken several wild boars over the years with them, and black wildbeest, springbock and klipspringer (with a solid) in Namibia two years ago. I love them! I have never used them, but have talked to the makers several times at the previous years hunting shows in Rambouillet. I have never bought them because the design premise of the petals all breaking off does not appeal to me and they cost as much as premium bullets from North Fork, Swift or Woodleigh. No reason they shouldn't kill an animal though. Animals have been killed with worse bullets for years. _________________________________ AR, where the hopeless, hysterical hypochondriacs of history become the nattering nabobs of negativisim.

Terry The GPA is not the rage in France but a lots of users feel very happy with it. My cousin who is currently my hunting partner anytime in Africa, has been using it four times in Africa in 416 Rigby, solid and 4-petals softs, and is adamant with this ammo. Nobody on earth will deter him from using this GPA. Outstanding on Giant Derby (1 ton) eland, excellent on Hartebeest, Roan, hogs....and mitigated result on a buff that refused to die. The ones using it don't imagine using other bulllets. In my case, I didn't try them, for I have an ample stock of Swift Aframe and Sauvestre "arrow-bullets" yet. Thanks for the replies. I am going to try some 120 gr in my 7 Mag tomorrow at the range to see if they shoot anywhre near the 160 gr Barnes TSX bullets point of impact. If they are real close, then I will take a few with me on our next plains game trip. Remember, forgivness is easier to get than permission.
