What do you think will be the new 'hot destination' in Africa?

What do you think will this year's 'must have' African trophy?

I "must have" a buff with my new 470.....and some plains game with my old 9.3x62. Loads have been set for a long time with the 9.3....I'm just starting to play with the 470. Now all I need to do is settle on the time/place. Ray is sending me some info on his hunts. Might be a great year!!

I would guess a free upgrade to first class on SAA to Jberg would be a fine trophy for this yr.

Same as last year;
1- Tanzania
2- buffalo

I think it will be Botswana for lion and elephant.

George, I see Uganda as the hot new destination, and I wouldn't be surprised if we start hearing noises that Angola will "soon" reopen for safari hunting.

The hot trophy is lion, and it'll remain that way until there is no more lion hunting available. Everyone who can afford it is lining up in anticipation of that eventuality.

...and accelerating the likelihood of an end to lion hunting. Not because the numbers will be too low, but rather the perception of the numbers being too low. Frowner

Uganda as the hot new destination is my guess.

As for animals; all of them!

I would say Mozambique and Lion.
As non speaking English countries are marginalized, I say Botswana and Lion.
Angola and Uganda would be great Christmas presents.
Concerning Angola, IMHO, it’s a long way to go before considering hunting and further before collecting Giant Eland. Confused
Concerning Uganda one have to ask ErikD who seems to be a connoisseur.
