Our Darin Nelson celebrated her birthday in the field which was a treat for everybody involved. At her tender age she still manages to knock over a few buffalo albeit with a little helping hand from fellow PH Peter Mayall. All who attended the extended party were from AR and we had some very serious fun and a bunch of laughs. Thanks to Patsy Hahn for all her help and some of the finest food I have ever had served on safari.

Andrew;

You know how to make turning 71 fantastic!

I couldn't have had more fun or a better hunt, although my "lucky" hunter curse has once again affected your averages.

I love my 2 buffalo pictured above! I promise to get a full hunt report up here soon!

Thanks again for a wonderful safari, the best food ever, plenty of champagne and soooo many laughs! (Steve, Peter, Patsy and Tom helped too!)

Why is it that Andrew attracts so many hot female hunters? Darin, Jytte, Joyce W, etc.

Darin does not care about trophy quality and simply wants the opportunity on foot to have a buff in her sights. Whilst stalking a Sable we had three buff burst out of an anthill and one made the mistake of turning towards us. Darin shot him over the heart and a split second later poleaxed the beast with a spine shot. It was a very impressive bit of shooting indeed. We celebrated everyday for we are privileged in what we do.

A belated Happy B-Day Darin! dancing

I've never met you, but read your postings here on AR.

And if you hunt with Andrew, you can't be all bad. Wink

You're truly an inspiration to me. I admire you hunting/traveling by yourself in Africa.

Keep it up! Perhaps I may have the honor to meet you in one of Andrew's camps one day.

Charlie,

Simply a few bulls resting up in a shady bush. No one saw them till they burst from cover as we were concentrating on Sable. The first was a brute with a magnificent head but we just could not get onto him unfortunately.

Andrew;

I was not disappointed that bull at all. Sure the first one might have been bigger, but do you recall my adamant declaration to you and Patsy, "Don't shoot my buffalo"! And, it was all over with!

Hugs, Darin
