I just got off of the phone with a guy who is scheduled to go to Tanzania on the 14th of August. (He doesn't visit AR). His booking agent has told him nothing about the present unsettled state of trophy/concession fees, etc. I informed him of the retro-active nature of the "decree" and he about crapped. His predictable response was, "Who's going to pay the difference if this sticks?" I suggested he discuss that with his booking agent.

I asked him about his "Dutch" permits (he will RON in Amsterdam) and he was clueless as to the difference in a transient permit and on that would allow him to RON.

Boy, does he have a fun couple of weeks to go, trying to get straight answers about his deposits, etc.

AR is invaluable. At least it is a source to see what the heck is transpiring so you don't get hit in the head by surprise.
