On the 22nd of this month I'm supposed to meet a bunch of fellows who post here (and some non-members, too) and shoot doubles for a weekend. Maybe kill a pig, also. That'll include Rusty, Mac, .450 No.2, JJS, et. al. Not as the pigs, but as shooters.. I thought I'd better clear that up. Big Grin

My problem is simple. I really want to take my Westley Richards .450/.400 3 1/4". Hornady is making some dies, using brass that I sent them, but I'm getting hyper about whether they'll arrive in time for the shoot/hunt.

Does anyone have some I can borrow for a day? I'll pay your "next day" shipping charges and return them the next day, or by regular UPS if you don't need them back immediately.

My e-mail is properfistmele@hotmail.com if you can spare a set for a quickie fix so I can out shoot those Texas dudes.. and a few others. I'll give you shipping directions, and will include a check for your expenses, etc. when I return them.

Judge, good luck.

Outshooting Texicans is a noble, although somewhat easy, endeavor at which I have often succeeded. It is wonderful to walk up to the target butts and see their underused humility heat its way up through their prideful hides until it burns red on their Lone Star-stained faces.

As for your loading efforts, it seems to me that you'd better have a two week vacation planned between now and the 22nd.

It has taken me three weeks of what little spare time I can muster to size and neck expand 150 .378 Wby. cylindrical cases into .500 A2s and trim and inside and outside neck chamfer FIFTEEN! of them.

After I get through the full 150, I still have to tumble them, load them with a bunch of primers, powder and bullets, and shoot some paper. As I say, good luck to you!

JudgeG,

Doesn't Mbogo have a 3-1/4? I thought I remembered that he had both sizes in that caliber.

Man, I'm getting so short I can't see over the top of the grass! Reminds me of my days in the Army. Now, if I can just come up with the money to pay for it.
