Today was the first day of move in at DSC’s Journeys. A few notes from the floor: Exhibitors – many with faces drawn in complete hang over – started showing up at 8:00 AM. This is going to be the biggest Convention yet. I can’t believe that we’ve added another hall. Everyone on the floor is in a great mood. Even people in line to drop things off were cordial. I always get a kick out of watching the Freeman Coliseum staff move about the floor. The comments from some of these guys were hilarious – “Check it Tony! I’m pushing a lion down the floor!” “Dang, that’s a big ol’ bear!” “What is that thing?” “This [elephant] for real?” My favorite comment came from one guy pushing a trash bin who stopped to look at some custom boots being put out. He was staring at this one pair of crocodile boots and the exhibitor smiled and said he could pick them up, look at them, etc. When she told him the price he said, “That’s some Kayne type boot money there!” Again, call me at 830-285-1011 so I can get your pic for the AR Member Gallery to be posted on Game Trails Online! My wife and I Are excited to be coming back to Dallas. We were last there In 2009. I am looking forward to seeing the new setting. See ya'll on Thursday. Crl The average man's love of liberty is nine-tenths imaginary. It takes a special sort of man to understand and enjoy liberty; and he is usually an outlaw in democratic societies. | |||
