Ladies and gentlemen, I am just back from a buisness trip to Great Britain, Somerset, Bath Spa. Our meeting ended early and i took a walk down town. I was very suprised to find that the gun & rifle maker George Gibbs was still in buisness (togheter with it's new owner the gun and riflemaker I M Crudgington.) They had a very nice and well built .505 Gibbs on display. They have the rests of the record books in the shop, but most of the records was destroyed by a German direct bomb hit during WW II when the company was located in Bristol. Anybody here that knows anything more about the Gibbs firm of today? Husky

Deerdogs, Your local gunshop -lucky you! They had some very nice Holland 6 Holland etc shoot guns for as i understand it reasonable prices! Do you know if they still make doubles to order? Is the gunmakers as good nowadays as one can expect from a name like George Gibbs...? The man in the gun shop told me that it was some "Scottish" firm that make the cases for the .505 Gibbs -do you know who? As i understand it Norma just might start to make cases for the .505 Gibbs which make me to see the light in the tunnel Husky
