Don Bower (I think it is)? Just curious. A friend and I were talking about a buff hunt and his name came up. Also Keith Aikes (sp??). He couldn't remember what outfit they worked for. Do the names ring a bell? Thanks
Doug

Know Don Bowers quite well. Has two concessions in the Selous.

Still has a LPH licence in Zim and was involved in Matetsi unit 6 here until the principal shareholder showed true colours and ended up on the US list of persons whom US citizens are banned from doing Buisness with. Don gave up his shares in Unit 6. He still has a magnificnet game ranch here - Dingwall safaris- but I see very little of him these days as he spends almost all his time in Tanzania.

Interesting lad. Made a fortune in Aluminium and then retired and did what he had always wanted to do- become a PH in Africa. Been hunting full time in either Zim or Tanzania for the last 8 years (and part time for a good while before that). Like the man, and like the way his operation here is run.

They go by Okome Safaris.

I sent you a PM. You can call me regarding Don and his areas, I know a little bit about them. I have a picture of a huge Buffalo they shot two years ago here. Missed 50" by 1/8". Not normal, or reasonable, but a darn nice Buffalo.

Thanks Wendell,
I haven't checked my PMs. Thats a pretty impressive buff. I'd call it 50 inches. Thanks again
