Folks, Bill is going to have a fourth

back Fusion Monday morning in El Paso Tx.

Those of you that pray, please include him.

The rest of us can send our best wishes for

a good fix/cure this go round. One great

thing in his favor this time: He has a fine

younger woman to care for and help him get

thru this ordeal.

Bill: best wishes buddy!

Thank you,

George

I assume this is Bill/Oregon?

If so, I'll be checking on your progress and praying for a safe & speedy recovery Bill.

Bought some arms from Bill and he is a straight shooter (double entendre intended).

At least it is a better time to be in a hospital here than it was 6 months ago when half of Southern New Mexico and El Paso were the epicenter of covid.

I dare say mine was successful first time round and all my trials and tribulations ended after the fusion.

I've had a total of 13 back surgeries, some major, some less so. I hope to never go through it again and hope this one works for you for good this time.

Here's hoping they get you out of pain with full functionality! Hang it there.

Wow Todd!

Those docs have found a gold mine with you!

Good response guys, just as I hoped.

I've been thru four on the back. 4 rods and
14 screws and it's still not right. Hope Bill
has better results than I have.

No word yet, still a bit early. Looks like he didn't ask his g/f to let me know. Soon as I hear, will post it.

Jay, I'm sick and tired of those operations, I can tell you that. It's the reason I struggle to maintain good physical conditioning for any period of time.

I definitely feel for Bill having to go through it again as I'm sure he's fed up with it as well.

Fellas -- and Ann, good gracious, I had no idea George posted this, but I sure appreciate the good wishes.
This was another screws-and-rods fusion at L5-S1. Had this done two years ago at L4-L5 and it wasn't nearly as rough. But I am 68 this time and age makes a difference. This also decompressed my spinal cord, which had the side effect of lighting up my back from the base of the skull to the glutes. Even morphine wasn't much help.
It has all subsided and I am home and will be on hydrocodone for a few days, creeping around, wearing the big back brace.
Hope I can be hiking again by mid-late June.
Todd, man, I feel for you with 13 surgeries.

Hope it works for you, Bill. My lumbar fusion resulted in popping my SI joints so I live in perpetual pain. The fusion surgery was so painful I do not want them to touch me ever again.
