By chance would anyone have info/pics of a good tusker, approaching 90 lbs. taken by a client of Rolf Rohwer, late in the 2004 hunting season?

I heard that Rohwer sued the elephant for being light and lost the copyright on the photos in a countersuit brought by the widowed cow.

Or did that suit involve an ammo maker and a lion? Big Grin

Elephant was shot in Lake Burunge Controlled Area just to the north of Tarangire National Park. Quite possibly several lawsuits came out of it!

Jangili,
I had heard the same but never saw a pic. Smelled awfully "rotten" when i heard it....

What do you know about the story?

hunting is not about the killing but about the chase of the hunt.... Ortega Y Gasset

Yes, I saw pictures of the elephant, the hunter, and Rolf.
They were on display at the 2005 SCI in Reno. I think the pictures were there again this year, 2006.
Rolf Rohwer can produce excellent trophy animals for his clients.
