According to the paper, both East Africa and West Africa showed sharp declines. Southern Africa's wildlife populations have actually increased - despite what the quote below says. Central Africa wasn't mentioned - and I'll bet the East Africa data show a great difference between Tanzania and Kenya, but it isn't given.

Apparently the countries in Southern Africa have figured out a way to manage their wildlife populations successfully. I wonder what it is?
