I have determined that Rob Lurie is working for Brooklands Safaris. Do any of you readers have fairly current experience with this outfit?
Thanks,

Jim

Most of their hunting is in the SAVE! Never shared a camp with Rob, but have had a beer with him and will have another when we meet again.

I'll second that Thierry. I spent time with Rob at DSC and found him to be very personable and knowledgeable. Also experienced and up to date
on hunting in Northern Mozambique.

Rob was our son's PH in 2000. He was a very personable, polite, and articulate young man. I recall that Roy Ludick is at Brooklands also. He is equally gracious.

Thanks for all the input. It sounds like Mr. Lurie is a well respected PH. This post has taken a bit of a detour, but I have a further question about Save Conservancies in general. I assume there are not high fences, but there is mention of bore holes for wildlife. Are there any other typical wildllife and habitat manipulations which set these areas apart from truly wild areas such as the Coutadas in Mozambique?

D/R Hunter

Correct bullet placement, combined with the required depth of bullet penetration, results in an anchored animal...

Gentlemen,

I would like to apologize for the post in this thread. Just saw it and was a bit horrified. I have made 21 posts in five years (since May 2008) and not sure how I screwed this up but I did. From memory, but this is a ways back I recall replying to someone who was trying to find where to buy Courteney Boots in the USA but not sure how I put it here. I have only replied to direct comments about our products in the past and always try do the right thing. Thanks for your understanding.

Jim
