Please who has any comments about MWA Safaris?
This is a company owned by Carlos Queiros.
They hunt the southeast corner of the Niassa Reserve.
Thanks

I've hunted the south-east corner of Niassa a few times and met a good portion of the outfitters but have not heard of MWA. Do you know what the initials stand for?

The initials are for Mozambique Wildlife safaris.

The map shows them a few km to the east of Chamanga.

Found this map of their area.
Marked in red.
The yellow and purple blocks are run by the reserve and back onto the great Lugenda river.
I have driven through this area from the Lugenda river in BlockC (CF3) through to Marupa.
This area does not back onto the Lugenda and has quite a few villages within.
It should be OK for Elephant (during crop season) and Leopard, Sable, Dyker and Eland.

Thanks a lot Oz.
My goal is ele and buffalo, but the proximity of villages make it less desirable from my point of view.
I appreciated your input.

There are still large uninhabited areas there but it will be hard to find Buffalo. It really helps to have the Luangwa River close by for them and the main concentrations of other game.
