In the planning phases of my next trip to Africa, have only gone once before to East Cape and had a wonderful time. While I would go back to the same ranch, I am looking for some recommendations for outiftters/regions where you can find all the animals on my list, hoping to avoid spending a week at one location then moving if possible. Animals sought will be Nyala, Kudu, Red Hartebeest, Eland, warthog, & Gemsbuck. With the exception of the Nyala I had planned on going to the Gras in Namibia, but I don't think Nyala can be found there. So can anyone give recommendations of regions/outfitters that have good quality animals of each in one general area, or will I have to lose a day or two traveling?

The Arthur Rudman family runs and excellent operation in Port Elizabeth area of the East Cape. I have been there twice and even sent my Father and brother there for their first African experience. They have all the animals you're looking for and more. Their website is www.blaaukrantz.com

I could be mistaken:
I think the nyala vs. Red hartebeest is your problem. They do not co-exsist in the same areas without being introduced on a ranch type area.
You might try the Save, i dont remember seeing Red hartebeest on any of the price lists though.

I have walked in the foot prints of the elephant, listened to lion roar and met the buffalo on his turf. I shall never be the same.

jcarr,

You can find operations in RSA that offer all species on your list and you might be able to hunt all from the same camp but the nyala is not indigenous to the arid areas that your other species are.

I'd suggest you target the nyala on a seperate safari in an area that naturally supports good nyala. Selected areas in RSA, Zim and Mozambique with Mozambique being my first choice offer excellent nyala plus several other species of PG.

Sir,

I will make you the following offer, and yes, you can hunt all these species in one area without loosing a days travel.
The hunting area is the Mopane Bushveldt of the Limpopo Valley bordering Botswana. The ranch is 16,000 acres big with about 5miles of Limpopo river front.

I will personally guide this hunt, and you will have the thrill of a lifetime, specially tracking Eland in the Mopanes!

It is one of the best preserved, wild hunting areas in South Africa, and there are constantly Elephant moving through the Limpopo, with resident Hippo in the river.

Our camp is rustic and on the river! On the other bank is Botswana.

The area is also very well known for massive Limpopo Bushbuck, why no add this in !
Best time to hunt this area would be June-August, or even early November. I’m hunting in Mozambique from September through October.

This will not be a cheap hunt, but I will discount it for you in day rates.

NOW, what is important is that many people will offer this hunt to you for 7 days. If a bull Eland and Kudu is on the menu, do not even think about doing this hunt for less than 10 days hunting. Allow 2 for travelling. 1 there, and 1 back.

$3950.00 - $395.00 per day for 10 days hunting
$ 150.00 - Arrival day
Departure day free
$500.00 Airport transfer

Some fine specimens herewith!
Trophy fees:

$2,250.00 Eland (Monster BULLS)

$2,250.00 Nyala

$1,950.00 Kudu

$1,450.00 Gemsbuck

$1,150.00 Limpopo Bushbuck

$1,150.00 Red Hartebeest

Free if you buy this hunt for yourself as a Christmas gift!

This might be a lot of information in one go, but I would like you to have as much information as possible when planning this adventure!

Kindly take note that this is not close to the area where I advertised a special hunt on the hunt to offer page, which is on my own ranch and my neighbours, and therefore the difference in price. This concession is a special place 450km’s north of Johannesburg!

PM for any questions you might have as well as references of hunters that have shared this wonderful area with us!
