I want to meet a Tanzania PH going to Dallas and Houston, not SCI. I am out of the country and will miss Dallas....is it worth the trip to go to Houston just to visit with a PH??
Where do you stay??

HSC is perfect for that, but not all at SCI attend. Much smaller and slower paced. I've seen Swanepoel & Scandrol there for example but not Robin Hurt or Tanzania Game Trackers.

Find out if Pierre von Tonder is doing Houston...I'll see him in Dallas and imagine he also does Houston. He's all you need to know for Tanzania.

HSC is very small compared to DSC. You can stay right there at the host hotel, kinda expensive but I don't think there are any others w/in walking distance.

I've never been to SCI but from what I've read here, DSC or HSC would seem like the place for a face to face talk that wouldn't seem rushed. My PH always books a late flight the day after the show so he can either rest or meet clients early the day after the show.

Sooner to the show, check out Academy.com they usually have a coupon you can print out for free admission.

Thanks guys! Pierre is the guy I want to meet!!
Staying at the Host Hotel is probably cheaper than renting a car and driving back and forth??
Cheers

Italian place by the mall is good, so is the "fish taco" place around the corner.
Kirby's steakhouse is all about atmosphere, I didn't think the steaks were worth the price.

HSC is a great little show because there are plenty of outfitters but it is just calm enough that people can actually take the time to talk. We have a triple booth there this year and quite a few of our outfitters will be in the booth with us. I hope to see you there.

Yeah if you want to see Pierre... Houston would be as good a place as any. Be sure and drop by Greg's booth too - it's his shout for Marguerita!!
