This was an experimental shot on an elephant that had just departed into the celestial kingdom. I wanted to find out if FN solids penetrated or if the stories were bunk. Well, they penetrate, and this one did not even deform.

Below is a picture of a GS custom bullet fired through an elephant shoulder bone and penetrating about 6.5 feet of elephant.

Was this fired from a 470 Nitro or 470 Capstick?

Also, are these 450 gr weight or 500 gr?

As you know, Im shooting 450 gr Barnes RN and GSFN in my 450 Dakota so am curious.
