Just a heads up, I've been told that changes to SAPS firearms policies are in the works, anticipated to be implemented as soon as December. No info on what changes are coming, just that change was most likely happening. I'd be surprised if these changes are in hunters favor. I'm trying to get more no.

Thanks for the heads up Karl. Please post if you have any, good or more likely bad news.

IMHO the SAPS leaders realised that the Firearms Temporary Imortation system actually works. Well, at least sort of works! But this is contrary the SAPS's aim of totally buggering up the country. So changes are quite likely!

Sorry I've just listened to a news broadcast and I'm newly aware how the ANC and the poor appointments, like the criminal and incompetent SAPS commissioners, done by chief criminal Jacob Zuma has buggered uo our country!

One can cure:

Lack of knowledge – by instruction. Lack of skills – by practice. Lack of experience – by time doing it.

One cannot cure:

Stupidity – nothing helps! Anti hunting sentiments – nothing helps! Put-‘n-Take Outfitters – money rules!

My very long ago ancestors needed and loved to eat meat. Today I still hunt!

The 1990s were so nice! I could leave my firearms with the police at the airport for a 50 rand fee and pick them up when I was to exit the country. Made sense, was easy and simple.
Of course, such things don't last.
