Re: Ahmed Almaktoum wins double trap gold!
Saeed has no email while out in the Bush. He'll just have to get all your congratulatory wishes in a week.
But, since I know Ahmed visits this site, I've changed the banner for a while (at least until Saeed returns next week).

Michael RobinsonTo win an Olympic Gold Medal is to reach the pinnacle of athletic accomplishment--IMO, it's as great an accomplishment as winning the World Series, the Super Bowl, the World Cup, the NBA Championship, the Indianapolis 500 or the Tour de France.
BTW, I love that picture!

But the Al Maktoums have a secret weapon in all shooting so well, a long sighting plane!

Wow, this is good news. This kind of event can create a trend among the youth of a country if properly organised. UAE may turn out a long line of crackshots...
I am reminded of an anonymous (to me) quote, something like "We used to be a nation of riflemen; now we are a nation of golfers."
